I finally got down to
Rubys Famous BBQ in East Meadow NY. Greg Barry better known on the BBQ competition circuit as "Big Barry" has recently taken over the reigns as pit master. Last night included a live band as well as food and drink specials that will continue on Thurs nights from now on. At the table we had chicken fried steak (shown above) as well as prime rib, angus hamburger, chicken wings, moink balls (a meatball wrapped in bacon with a cherry chipotle sauce on it). The food was excellent, nobody had any complaints. I do not care for moink balls but the cherry chipotle sauce (a new creation by Barry) was terrific. The place was packed, had a nice vibe going. It looks like with the help of Barry the place is doing very well , I wish him much success.
